The Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies, through the Office of Sponsored Research, in collaboration with the University of Miami Bioethics Programme will be hosting the 2nd Annual Research Ethics Conference from May 19-20.
The theme is “Responsible Conduct of Research: Beyond the Boundaries – the Role of Ethics in Ensuring Responsible Research.” The objectives of the Conference are to keep the issue in the forefront as ethics remain a pre-requirement for attracting external funding; to deepen knowledge and understanding of research ethics across the disciplines and to link it with professional ethics. Emphasis will be placed on possible conflicts between research/client, commercially funded research, externally funded research and researcher and career.

Certificate for Continuing Medical Education will be granted: $500 (one day); ($750 both days). Lunch will be served buffet style at a cost of $250 per day. Registration time: 7:30 a.m. – 8:25 a.m.
