Professor Tara Dasgupta, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry and Head of the Electronics Unit, is pleased to announce that the Mechanical Engineering Workshop (MEW) which is established as a self-financed entity at the site of the old Physics Workshop next to Juici Patties, is fully functional and ready to conduct business. The new workshop will provide professional mechanical engineering services categorized under three basic types: maintenance, design and fabrication, with a bias towards mechanical and electro-mechanical devises and systems. The target groups are educational institutions, health service providers, manufacturing, packaging and processing industries. All members of the University community are invited to visit the facility.
