CARIMAC Summer Programme
The Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication will be hosting its 24th annual Summer School Programme between June 5 and July 29. The Summer Programme offers an opportunity for individuals interested in media and communication to whet their appetites in the field. It also provides an opportunity for practitioners to sharpen their communication skills and receive academic certification. Many students, after completing courses in the Programme go on to use the training they receive in their present career or make career changes in media and communication or related areas.
There is an array of courses being offered this year timetabled to suit different schedules includes sixteen courses. These are: Public Speaking, Radio Announcing and Presentation, Radio Production, Advertising Management, Advocacy Communication, Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing, Digital Music Video Production, Digital Video Production, Business Writing, Becoming a Media Producer, Health Communication, Public Relations, Website Design, Covering Sports, and How to Write Effectively.
The CARIMAC Summer School is taught by experienced media and communication practitioners/ professionals who have been in the field for several years. Students would therefore benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experiences that these practitioners bring to the class as well as the dynamic interaction with their peers from various backgrounds.
