Professor Verene A. Shepherd was elected as President of the Association of Caribbean Historians [ACH] at the Association's recent 38th annual conference in Trinidad & Tobago. Professor Shepherd follows a long tradition of UWI leadership of this prestigious regional academic body, others having been Professors Roy Augier, Bridget Brereton, Carl Campbell, Douglas Hall and Woodville Marshall. The next annual conference of the ACH will be held at the Mona Campus of the UWI and will be hosted by the Department of History and Archaeology."
