Professor Brendan Bain of the Department of Community Health and Psychiatry was honoured recently by the Medical Association of Jamaica (MAJ). Their citation to him commended him for the role he played as the lead coordinator of the UWI HIV/AIDS Response Programme UWI/HARP whose mission is to build and harness capacity within the university in order to contribute maximally to the national, regional and international effort to control the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
