INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS – HERMITAGE/QUEEN’S WAY INTERSECTION
As part of its efforts to improve the flow of traffic and enhance the security of members of the campus community, the University has been in discussion with the National Works Agency to identify ways of facilitating easier exit from and access/entry to the campus via the Queen’s Way gate.
After conducting a traffic count and a pedestrian survey, the National Works Agency has given approval for traffic signals to be installed at the Hermitage/Queen’s Way intersection with an additional left turn slip-way for vehicles turning onto Queen’s Way.
Work on the proposed improvements is scheduled to begin shortly with the hope of completing at least the lights by the start of the academic year.
