The UWI Venture Competition (UWIVC) is the premier business plan competition of the region where teams of MBA and graduate business students present their business ideas to compete for the coveted role of representing the UWI at the Opportunity Funding Corporation Venture Challenge in Atlanta, USA, hosted by Clark Atlanta University. Interested student teams should submit two (2) copies of their business plans to the offices of the Mona School of Business which will provide information regarding the guidelines for the written business plan. Each team should have a minimum of four or a maximum of five members; and at least one member of the team must be an MBA student or a final year business student. Other members of the team could be from any discipline or undergraduate students. Entrants will also compete for personal development opportunities gained from the training and coaching sessions offered to finalists to enhance their business planning skills and business presentation skills; possible monetary prizes for the winning team and a place in the Vincent HoSang (Entrepreneurship) Programme, for the possible conversion of their business plans to actual businesses.
