James. W. Lee

The University of the West Indies has learnt with regret of the recent passing of James W, Lee donor of the James W. Lee Collection of Arawak (Taino) artifacts to the UWI in 2000. Mr. Lee worked as a geologist in Jamaica from 1951 to 1986 and dedicated much of his life to the study of Jamaican archaeology. In 1980, he received the Medal of the Centenary of the Institute of Jamaica and in 1983, the Prime Ministers Medal of Appreciation. The UWI extends condolences to the family and friends of the late James W. Lee.
