Research Day 2007
The University of the West Indies, Mona hosts the annual Research Day from Thursday, January 25 to Friday, January 26 under the theme: “Higher Education: Pathway to Success.” Research Day 2007 will be declared open on January 25 by Minister of Education and Youth, Honourable Maxine Henry Wilson who will also be the guest speaker for the opening ceremony which commence at 9:00 a.m. at the Undercroft.
The two day event features an exhibition in the Assembly Hall showcasing research being conducted by UWI, Mona. There will also be four public forums under the theme: “Higher Education: Pathway to Success” at the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre. Tours of the campus will be conducted throughout the day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on January 25 and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. However tours to the department of Faculty of Medical Sciences, located on the University Hospital of the West Indies, will end at 12 noon, daily. Various faculties will also have activities including: tours of facilities, seminars, demonstrations, poster display and video presentations.
