The University Health Centre will host its annual Blood Donation Drive aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation among the UWI community as a habit for life. The Blood Drive begins with a launch on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Multifunctional Room, Main Library, UWI, Mona. The guest speaker is Dr. Dwight Lowe, Consultant Haematologist at the University Hospital of the West Indies and Lecturer in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, UWI, Mona.

The Blood Drive is a collaborative effort among the University Health Centre, the National Blood Transfusion Bank (Blood Bank) and a group of final year Social Marketing students from Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) under the name IMPACT.
