Deborah-Ann Lee Named 'Rotarian of the year 2005-2006'
Deborah-Ann Lee, Resident Tutor and Head of the School of Continuing Studies and Distance Education for the University of the West Indies, Cayman Island has been named by Rotary Sunrise as 'Rotarian of the Year 2005 -2006' for Cayman. Previously Ms. Lee was an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Medical Sciences UWI, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad, and prior to that the Head of Faculty at the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute. As Director of Vocational Service for Rotary Sunrise Ms. Lee with the support of dedicated members she undertook projects in the areas of the literacy programme at the Fairbanks Prisons, the STARRS Programme with the Department of Social Services, where assistance was given to persons in resume writing and interviewing skills. She has also been involved in the school’s debate programmes, and the reintroduction of the Rotaract Club.
