The 11th General Meeting of the Caribbean Academy of Sciences (CAS), Jamaica Chapter, will be held on September 28 at 2.30 p.m. in the Chemistry Lecture Theatre, C5. All members of the Academy and interested persons are invited to attend. The keynote address entitled “The Trouble With Sugar – Curse or Cure” will be delivered by Dr. Earle Roberts, Director of Sugar Industry Research Institute (SIRI), Jamaica.
Applications for membership are available from the secretarial staff at the meeting. Members who have not renewed their membership for the year 2006 are requested to do that during the meeting.
