UWI Lecturer will Participate in Education Forum
Professor Zellynne Jennings of the Department of Educational Studies, UWI, Mona will deliver the keynote address at a conference organised by the University of St. Maarten from October 11-13. The theme of the conference is “Re-thinking Education in the Caribbean: yesterday, today and tomorrow: A Local Imperative in a Global Context”. It focuses on issues such as history, curriculum development, teacher training, innovation in education and the development of alternative educational models of management for school improvement. Prior to the conference, Professor Jennings will deliver a public lecture on “Educating our teachers in the Caribbean for the 21st century”. Her keynote address is on ‘Three decades of innovations in Caribbean education systems: why some succeed and others don’t’.
