Annual World of Work Seminars
The Office of Placement and Career Services presents a seven part Annual World of Work Seminar Series from October 12 to November 23 at 3:00 pm in Seminar Room 10 (SR10), Faculty of Social Sciences.
The series of seminars focus on assisting students (prospective employees) to develop skills and competencies needed to enhance their academics in order to be successful in the world of work.
Presenters for these seminars are mainly human resource practitioners from public and private sector organizations who present most current relevant information coupled with years of experience when addressing World of Work issues. The topics to be covered will include: ‘Entrepreneurship’ and ‘How to Prepare for and Attend an Interview’.
The upcoming seminar for Thursday, October 19 looks at “Writing Impressive Resumes and Cover Letters”. The presenter will be Mr. Maurice Lewin, Human Resource Manager, National Heritage Trust.
