CARIBBEAN CHILD RESEARCH CONFERENCE 2006

The Caribbean Child Research Conference will be held from Wednesday to Thursday, October 25-26, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. The conference is organized by Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) and the Caribbean Child Development Centre (CCDC), in association with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), along with the Early Childhood Commission, the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), the Child Development Research Group and the Ministries of Education and Youth, and Health.
The conference represents an inter-disciplinary approach covering a range of child-related themes such as child rights and policy planning, child health and nutrition and development. This event presents an opportunity to share research on children, strengthen the network of researchers on children issues, and encourage research in areas where gaps have been identified with a broad Caribbean focus.
