Beverley Lashley, Librarian/Coordinator of the Caribbean Disaster Information Network (CARDIN) at the UWI Science Library will assist the Secretariat of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Environmental and Sustainable Development Unit, St Lucia in setting up their e-Library Disaster System. The Library has consented to release her for the period October 22-27, 2006, initially.

Ms Lashley’s visit is part of The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the OECS cooperative effort to provide technical assistance to its member states in the design and implementation of the OECS Disaster Response and Risk Reduction Programme.
