"Lets Talk Garifuna”
The Belize Students’ Association (BSAJ) and Vincentian Students’ Association (VINSA) in collaboration with the Department of Language, Linguistics and Philosophy and the Institute of Caribbean Studies, invite the University community to a presentation entitled “Lets Talk Garifuna: Our Story, Not His-Story” an examination of the Garifuna journey of exile from St. Vincent to Belize. The presentation takes place on Saturday, November 18 as part of Settlement Day which is on officially celebrated on Sunday, November 19. “Lets Talk Garifuna” will be held at the Round in the Phillip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts at 4 pm.
