CARIMAC Students host Public Relations Expo
The Annual Public Relations Expo will be staged on Thursday, November 16 at the Undercroft of The University of the West Indies between 9 am and 2 pm under the theme “PR: Paving the Way Forward.” This event is a product of the Advanced Public Relations students of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC).
Over 200 students from high schools across the island have been invited to benefit from the advice and knowledge they will receive from this year’s Public Relation Expo. The Expo will feature presentations being made by expert Public Relations practitioners on varying topics related to the theme. These presenters include: Tracy Moses, Marketing Executive (Pulse), Ann-Marie Dobson- Public Relations Officer (Jamaica Aids Support), Gerrard McDaniel- Director of Corporate Communications (Ministry of Tourism, Entertainment and Culture), Garth Williams- Public Relations Officer (Jamaica Football Federation), Lance Neita- Public Relations Manager (Alumina Partners of Jamaica) and Carlette DeLeon, Director (Headline Entertainment).
The event is designed to provide information about the field of Public Relations and expose individuals to the career opportunities available in the profession.
