The Department of Physics, UWI, Mona in collaboration with the UWI School of Continuing Studies will be offering a certificate programme in Electronic Engineering.
This programme is designed to produce technically proficient graduates who will meet the needs of the Jamaican and Caribbean Electronics and Communications Engineering Industries at large. Students will learn how to: select, calibrate and operate appropriate electronic test equipment, perform advanced testing procedures on electronic products and execute major trouble shooting procedures and repairs on consumer electronic products.
Classes commence in January 2007 and will last twenty four months on a part-time basis.
