The Department of Literatures in English presents the Launch of Mervyn Morris’ “I been there, sort of”- New and Selected Poems on December 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Phillip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts. The event will feature book presentations to the National Library of Jamaica and the UWI, Main Library. There will also be dramatic presentations of select Mervyn Morris poems such as: “Short Story” by Kei Miller, “Proposition One” by Tanya Shirley and Karl Williams, “Operation” by Carolyn Allen and “Stripper by Michael Bucknor. The guest speaker for this event is Dr. Ralph Thompson.
