Commencing in June 2007 the School of Education will be offering for the first time a self financed Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T). The Programme is expected to run over five semesters and three summers and is offered on a part-time basis. At the end of the first year students will have the option of exiting the Programme and will receive a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education, while those who complete the entire Programme will be awarded the Master of Arts in Teaching.
This programme is designed to cater to the varying needs for training in the formal, non-formal and private sectors. Application forms may be had from the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, UWI, Mona or downloaded from http://mona.uwi.edu/postgrad/downloads/applicationform1.pdf.
