The Department of Language, Linguitics and Philosphy hosts two one day workshops on Writing Across the Curriculum on Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13 for the faculties Pure and Applied Sciences and Humanities and Education respectively. These workshops will be conducted by Professor of English and Director of Campus Writing and Speaking Programme at North Carolina State University, Professor Chis Anson.
Professor Chris Anson is also the recipient of numerous awards, including the State of Minnesota Higher Education Teaching Excellence Award and the Morse-Alumni Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education. A scholar of writing, language, and literacy, he has published 14 books and 75 articles and book chapters, and has spoken at conferences and universities across the U.S. and in 18 other countries.
These workshops are a apart of a UWI-funded Writing Across Curriculum two year pilot project which commenced in September of last year.
