Caribbean Child Development Centre (CCDC) will be hosting an electronic forum on Children and Violence in Schools, commencing Monday, February 12 and runs for two weeks. There will also be an electronic link to the Forum at the following website, http://www.uwi.edu/ccdc
This Children and Violence in Schools forum will facilitate the regional sharing of and further discussion on recent, pertinent Caribbean research findings on Violence in Schools. Authors of the Caribbean report on children and violence, other researchers studying this problem, UNESCO and other international partners, school administrators, members of staff of schools, policy makers in Ministries of Education, and relevant juvenile justice authorities across the Caribbean are also being invited to participate.
UNESCO continues to support regional network capacity building efforts and is supporting the presentation of the first three (3) electronic fora on the CCDC website. Over the next 6 months, CCDC will host other fora on the following topics: HIV/AIDS and Children by e-forum and Children's Rights Education: Development of a Multidisciplinary Course on Children's Rights.
