It was with profound sadness that The University of the West Indies community has learnt of the passing of one of its former colleagues, Dorothy Scott and wishes to express sincere condolences to the family, close friends and colleagues of Dorothy Scott. Ms. Scott joined the Department of Language, Linguistics and Philosophy, Mona in 1995 where she was an instructor teaching the Fundamentals of English (UC010), English for Academic Purposes (FD10A) and Writing Foundations for Graduate Students. She also carried out other departmental duties.

A memorial service for the life and work of Dorothy will be held at the University Chapel, UWI, Mona at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. Persons attending the funeral service are asked to wear cheerful colours.
