Caribbean Child Research Conference
The Second Research Conference on children’s issues is being hosted by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in partnership with the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), UWI, the Caribbean Child Development Centre (CCDC), UWI, the Early Childhood Commission (ECC), Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), Office of the Children’s Advocate (OCA), Jamaica Coalition on the Rights of the Child (JCRC), Child Development Agency (CDA), Child Development Research Group (CDRG) and the Ministry of Education and Youth (MoEY). The Conference takes place under the theme “Promoting Child Rights through Research” from October 23-24.
Abstracts for papers are invited for submission by Tuesday, June 15 along with brief biography on areas including: Children and Trafficking, Children: Poverty, Marginalization and Risks, Children and HIV/AIDS, Children, Sexuality and Age of Consent, Boys in the Education System, Parenting for the 21st Century and Child Development.
