6th Annual Careers in Ageing Week
The sixth Annual Career in Ageing Week is being celebrated from April 8 to 14. The week of activities is being hosted by the Mona Ageing and Wellness Centre and PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre for Ageing and Health in the Department of Community Health and Psychiatry.
The week’s activities kick off on Tuesday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. with an Opening Ceremony in the Master of Public Health Building, Department of Community Health and Psychiatry.
Exhibitions will be mounted in the Catalogue Area of the Main Library and the Mona Ageing and Wellness Centre’s auditorium. The opportunities available for persons seeking a career change or embarking on a profession in a new and exciting field will be showcased through a multimedia display.
The week’s activities will continue with a Lunchtime Presentation on Thursday, April 12 on the Topic: “Burden of the Caregiver”. The presenter will be Mrs. Heather Fletcher, Head of Nursing, Northern Caribbean University, Mandeville.
