UWI Games and CNIS Ltd. presented the first in a series of “Top A Di Top” Workshops on Wednesday, April 18 at 2 pm at the UWI Mona Main Playing Field. The first workshop featured Jamaican Olympians Keith Gardner, Grace Jackson, Aileen Bailey, and top athlete Germaine Gonzales.

Students from Mona and August Town Primary Schools participated in this, the first of three weekly workshops. Upcoming workshops are scheduled for April 25 and May 2, also at the UWI Playing Field, and will feature athletes in football, netball and cricket arenas. Top A Di Top Series is a part of the build up to UWI Games 2007, (formerly Inter Campus Games), which will be held at the Mona Campus from May 17 – 24 2007

The aim of these workshops is to provide opportunities for young student athletes to be able to meet and interact with top sports men and women in a workshop setting. In this manner, the young athlete’s dreams of making it to the top – achieving greatness in their field of endeavor, will seem so much more achievable.
