The Graduation exercise of the 44th Regional Four Month Course in the Principles and Practices of Social Work takes place at the Social Welfare Training Centre, UWI, Mona on Thursday, April 26 at 5:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Claudette Richardson-Pious, Social Worker, Executive Director, Children First, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

The Social Welfare Training Centre (SWTC) of the School of Continuing Studies, the University of the West Indies organizes the Regional Four Month Course annually.

This year’s cohort consisted of fifty (50) participants from three (3) countries – St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts and Nevis and Jamaica representing a wide range of social sectors, including: health, correctional services, policing, counseling, religion, community development, social welfare, service clubs and youth work.
