UWI Games and CNIS Ltd. present another “Top A Di Top” Workshop in the series this Wednesday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the UWI Mona Main Playing Field. The workshop features top sports players and former sports stars in cricket, football and basketball. Presenters at the Workshop include: former West Indian Cricketer, Maurice Foster, top West Indian bowler and former West Indian Cricket Team captain, Courtney Walsh, former Jamaican Cricket Team Captain, Robert Samuels among others.
Students from select primary, preparatory and high schools are invited to take part in this workshop. UWI students are also invited to come and share in the experience of meeting top sports stars at the “Top A Di Top” Workshop. The Series is a part of the build up to UWI Games 2007, (formerly Inter Campus Games) taking place on May 17 – 24 at the Mona Campus where the three UWI campuses will compete in ten competitive sports.
The aim of these workshops is to provide opportunities for young student athletes to be able to meet and interact with top sports men and women in a workshop setting. In this manner, the young athlete’s dreams of making it to the top – achieving greatness in their field of endeavor, will seem so much more achievable.
