The Transformation Agenda in Education
Each year the School of Education organizes Forums on educational issues of topical interest. This year’s theme is titled The Transformation Agenda in Education: Issues and Challenges. The forum is the fifteenth in the Series and is being held on Thursday, May 17 at 5:00 p.m. in the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Humanities and Education. It will take the format of a panel discussion and presentations from two guest speakers: Frank Weeple, Executive Director, Education Transformation Team and Dr. Disraeli Hutton, Lecturer, Department of Educational Studies, UWI Mona
Participants from the educational community across the country are invited to share their research and/or experiences at the Forum on matters relevant to achieving educational progress in Jamaica. The topics for discussion include: Partnerships in Teacher Education, Cultural Identity and Schooling, Violence in Schools, HIV/AIDS Education and E-Learning.
The University community and the public are invited to attend.
