The Department of Library and Information Studies in collaboration with the UWI Library, Mona will be mounting a summer workshop for senior Caribbean librarians on Trends and Developments in Caribbean Libraries. This workshop will take place on the Mona Campus from June 25 -29.

The workshop will examine global and Caribbean trends through interactive sessions covering issues including: Human Resources Development, Advocacy and Marketing of Library Services, Information Literacy, Integrated Library Systems, Usability of Library Websites, Access to Information - E-government Information, and Institutional Repositories, Intellectual Property Rights - Copyright, Plagiarism and Patents and Records Management.

The sessions will encourage input from all participants, with particular reference to the experiences of their libraries and institutions.
