Mona Team Wins the Inaugural First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) & UWI Inter-Campus Case Analysis Competition
The Mona Team won first place at the recently held inaugural First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) and UWI Inter-Campus Case Analysis Competition which took place at the Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. The team also won the prize for the Best Case Analysis. The Mona Team consisted of four Social Sciences students namely: Vanessa Hemans, Claudia Hessing, Calais Hayden and Tiffany Dunkley. Assistance in preparing the Team for this Competition was done by Claire Wilson, the Faculty Advisor, Dr Hilary Robertson-Hickling, Lecturer, Department of Management Studies and other members of the Management Studies Department.
The Case Analysis Competition is one of the activities outlined by the FCIB and UWI 2006 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The Competition aims to encourage students’ interest in writing, analyzing and presenting Caribbean business cases as well as, to promote interaction between business students from all three campuses. It is expected that by 2009 the competition will evolve into an International Inter- University Case Analysis Competition.
