On-line Certificate Programme in Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment
The University of the West Indies Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC), the Organization of American States (OAS)/Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) and the Faculty of Social Studies, Cave Hill launched an On-line Certificate Programme in Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment on Monday, June 11. The Programme is in response to the need for continued education in substance abuse prevention and treatment in the Caribbean.
The On-line Certificate Programme in Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment is a regional, UWI-based continuing education programme in drug demand reduction, which will upgrade the professional qualifications of individuals working in national, regional and international efforts to prevent substance abuse in the Caribbean region and beyond.
The programme commences in September 2007 and continues until August 2008. The application period is June 1- 30.
