ILO and MSB First Capacity-Building Workshop
The International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Mona School of Business, UWI, recently held its first capacity-building workshop for employers’ organisations under the banner, The Caribbean Academy for the Management of Employers’ Organisations (CAMEO) on the Mona Campus.
This programme is jointly sponsored and organized by the ILO Sub Regional Office for the Caribbean (ILO SRO Caribbean), the ILO International Training Centre and the ILO Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ILO ACT/EMP) in collaboration with UWI, through the Mona School of Business.
The CAMEO Programme addressed specific topics that Caribbean National Employers’ Organizations identified as being important in a capacity-building programme under the broad themes of Governance, Strategy, Advocacy and Revenue-building.
The workshop included participants from across the Caribbean including: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Belize, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Surinam.
