Electronics Unit Summer Workshop
In an effort to meet the increased demand for improved training in the field of electronics technology and its applications, the Electronics Unit in collaboration with the Department of Physics, UWI, Mona will be hosting a week long workshop in Programmable Digital Controllers for Industrial Applications. The workshop takes place from August 13-17, at 9 am daily at the Physics Lab, UWI, Mona.
The workshop is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of technicians and engineers in industry. It targets technicians and engineers within the UWI community, the civil service, the private sector and other industry-based entities. This workshop is the second in a series of professional development training courses offered by the Electronics Unit since 2007.
The course will cover topics including: Digital Electronics, The Microcontroller, Assembly Programming and AVR Studio, other digital controllers (PIC, PLA, and PLD), and Computer control and Interfaces.
