The University of the West Indies, Office of Student Services and Development wishes to advise ALL new students, full-time and part-time, that Orientation will take place from August 19 -24. The theme for this year is “Preparing You for Your Campus Life.” The Orientation exercise is designed to familiarize new students with the University campus and to assist students in adjusting to university experience.

The Orientation activities begin with a special session for parents and/or spouses of new students next Sunday, August 19 at the Interfaculty Lecture Theatre, UWI, Mona from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Other activities scheduled during the period are presentations on topics including “Linking Academic Choices with Career Opportunities, “Understanding Examination Regulations,” “Interpersonal Relations,” “Sports-Building Character at Mona” and “The First Year Experience Programmme.” New students will be entertained at the Freshers’ Get Together at the Students’ Union on Thursday, August 23 at 4 pm.

All new students are required to attend the orientation activities.
