The Faculty of Medical Sciences, UWI, Mona will host its 17th Annual Research Conference from November 12-14 at the Main Medical Lecture Theatre located at the University Hospital of the West Indies. Abstracts are invited for oral and poster presentations at the Conference. The deadline for submission is Thursday, July 31 and should be sent via e-mail to fmsarc@uwimona.edu.jm and hardcopy provided and addressed to The Conference Secretary, Annual Research Conference Committee.

Conference prizes include: Association of Consultant Physicians of Jamaica– Young Investigator Award; Association of Surgeons in Jamaica – Surgery Prize; Dean’s Prize for Best Oral Presentation; Dean’s Prize for Best Poster Presentation; Grabham Society – Obstetrics and Gynaecology Prize; Jamaica Association of Clinical Pathologists – Pathology Prize; Jamaica Psychiatric Association – Psychiatry Prize; UWI Medical Alumni Association Award to a medical student and Jamaica Physiotherapy Association award.
