The University of the West Indies 60th anniversary celebrations will climax during mid July at Mona as the University marks its anniversary with a Convocation Week. The week of celebration begins with the Chancellor’s Reception at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 6:30 pm and is followed by several activities on Sunday, July 13, 2008 namely a Golf Tournament at 7 am, then an Inter Faith Thanksgiving Service at the UWI Chapel at 9 am, Brunch at the Senior Common Room at     11 am and Jazz Goes to UWI at 7 pm.

The week’s celebrations will proceed with several other activities including Students and Alumni Day, UWI Singers in Concert, a Symposium, Awards Banquet and Fete.
