“Caribbean Impact, Global Reach”
“Caribbean Impact, Global Reach” is the title of the Accounting Symposium taking place on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 8:30 am at the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre (SSLT), UWI, Mona. The keynote address will be delivered by Chair and Professor of Accountancy, University of Akron, Professor Thomas Calderon.
Other presenatations will be made by Professor Marcia Annisette, Yourk University on the topic “Is Accounting Education in the Caribbean Prepared for the Global Challenge”, Earl Jarrett, Jamaica National Building Society speking on the topic “Profile of the 21st Century Accountant: A Business Perspective” and Dr. Marion Williams, Governor, Central Bank of Barbados on ”Accounting and the Regulatory Environment.”
The Symposium will also feature a panel discussion with panelists such as Christopher Berry, Raphael Gordon and Alok Jain.
