The Caribbean Associaion of Law Librarians (CARALL) hosts its 23rd Annual General Meeting and Conference on July 7-9, 2008 at the Hilton Kingston Hotel. The theme of the Conference is “Viable, Vital and Vibrant: Be Prepared to Succeed.”

The Conference will feature presentations from Dr. Hilary Hickling, UWI, Mona on “Leadership, Talent Management and Succession Planning,” Sanya Young, Myers Fletcher and Gordon on “Branding and Intellectual Property in the Corporate World,” Yemisi Dina, York University, on “Redefining Law Librarianship with Web 2.0” and Dianne Nurse-Gittens, formerly of the Supreme Court, Trinidadad and Tobago shares on “Creating a future from the present—Succession Planning for law librarians.”

Also featured at the Conference is an exhibition of legal publications and services by: LexisNexis Butterworths, Wildy & Sons, Informa Publishing, Thomson Sweet & Mawell, Thomson Carswell, Justis,  Ian Randle Publishers, Kingston Bookshop, Sangster’s Bookstores and the West Indian Law Journal.
