The Occupational and Environmental, Safety and Health Programme at UWI, Mona hosts a Symposium themed “Cutting Edge Developments in Global Occupational and Environmental, Safety and Health (OESH)”. The Symposium takes place on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 1:30 pm in the Chemistry Lecture Theatre (Chem 5).

The Symposium will explore several issues related to occupational health and safety including alcohol and health trends, the internship experience, Silica: Still an Occupational hygiene problem and Re-integrate Prevention at the workplace into Primary Health care. Presentations will be made by experts including Dr. Norbert L. Wagner, University of South Florida, Professor Michael Morgan, University of Washington, Audrey Hussey, UWI, Mona and Professor Harri Vianio, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health Helsinki, Finland.
