Culture, Psychology and ‘Social Justice’
The Department of Government presents a public lecture on the topic Culture, Psychology and ‘Social Justice’ which speaks to the importance of cultural and psychological perspectives in resolving workplace and societal disputes. The Lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Seminar Room 4 (SR 4), Faculty of Social Sciences, UWI, Mona.
Professor Kwok Leung, of City University of Hong Kong will deliver this lecture. Professor Leung is a widely-recognized authority on cultural and psychological aspects of 'social justice' within societies and in the workplace. He has more than a hundred published articles and chapters, exploring the dynamics of human justice judgements.
The university community is invited to attend this lecture. This public lecture is also geared towards policy makers and clergy who have an interest in matters related to dispute resolution and restoration of justice between groups within the Jamaican society.
