The 2008 Master in Computer-Based Management Information Systems (CBMIS) cohort in the Department of Management Studies, UWI, Mona will host an exhibition on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 9:30 am at the Assembly Hall. The exhibition will showcase the work of present and a selected group of previous CBMIS Projects. As part of the Masters programme, students are required to develop an innovative piece of software as their final project which would be displayed at the exhibition.

This occasion marks the fifteenth anniversary of the programme and is in celebration of the university’s 60th anniversary.

The exhibition will include systems developed to offer solutions in the following areas of: Student Development Management System, Fleet Mapping and Dispatching System, GeoInsure: a subscription-based GIS solution to determine the nature and extent of risk associated with a particular location, Cattle Management system to aid local dairy farmers to efficiently manage the operations on their farms, Pharmaceutical surveillance system, Student Placement System – GSAT module and Road Network Information System.
