“What Hippocrates knew and we have forgotten” is the title of the public lecture being hosted by the Department of Medicine at The University of the West Indies, Mona. Dr. John Patrick, Professor of the History of Science and Medicine and President of Augustine College in Ottawa, Canada will deliver the public lecture on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the Main Medical Lecture Theatre, located at the University Hospital of the West Indies.  

The lecture will highlight the relevance of ethical practices in the field of medicine and explore some of the ethical dilemmas faced by today’s medical practitioners.

The university community and the public are invited.
