“Dream the Impossible Dream:  My Journey to the Stars “ is the title of the public lecture organized by the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences in conjunction with the Institute of Jamaica. The lecture takes place on Monday, October 13 2008 at 6 pm at the Inter Faculty Lecture Theatre, UWI, Mona. 

Professor Mercedes Richards, chair of the Nominating Committee of the American Astronomical Society will deliver the lecture. She is the first astronomer in the world to make clear images of the gravitational flow of gas between stars in any interacting binary pair.
