The UWI, Mona Western Jamaica Campus will host the Western Jamaica Schools Fair on November 27-28 running from 10 am to 7 pm and 9 am to 4 pm respectively. On this occasion guidance counselors, students from high schools in western Jamaica and professionals interested in graduate programmes will have the opportunity to learn about the programme offerings at the newly established campus. On Thursday, November 27, there will be a public forum at 5 pm during which attendees will hear from members of the university community on issues related to admissions, financing a college education and developmental programmes.

Also taking place at the UWI, Mona Western Jamaica Campus is the official Opening Ceremony and Dedication of the new location on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 3 pm. Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett will deliver the keynote address. The dedication of the building will be done by Rt. Reverend Howard Gregory, Suffragan Bishop of Montego Bay.
