The University Scholarship Examination will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 and Friday, February 27, 2009 beginning at 9:00 am each day.  Applicants for the Examination must have applied or intend to apply for the University of the West Indies for the 2009/10 academic year or are first year students who entered the University in August 2008. The application fee is J$1,200 (non-refundable). Application closes on December 12, 2008.

Students who are holders of a first degree, students who entered the University before August 2008 and students already in possession of a full Undergraduate Scholarship are not eligible for the University Scholarship.

The examination consists of two papers. Paper One comprises a Multiple Choice Section testing Language and Comprehension Skills, and a Production Section requiring Summary and Essay Writing. Paper Two focuses on Spatial, Structural Perception and Problem Solving.
