The Honourable Mrs. Justice Zaila McCalla, Chief Justice of Jamaica will deliver the main address at the University of the West Indies, Mona Long Service and Special 60th Anniversary Awards Ceremony being held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 5 pm at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre. The Ceremony will recognize over one hundred employees for their long and dedicated service to the University.

The award is presented to all categories of staff who have given fifteen, twenty-one, thirty and forty years of service to the University. As part of the 60th anniversary celebration, special awards for meritorious service will also be presented at the Ceremony.
