CARICOM Exports Symposium
The Department of Economics hosts a Symposium titled, “Diversification of CARICOM Exports: Opportunities and Challenges”. The Symposium takes place on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 9 am at the Blue Room, Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre.
Speakers at the Symposium include: Dr. Marie Freckleton, UWI, Mona, Robert Gregory, Jamaica Trade and Invest, Veona Maloney, Caribbean Export Development Agency, Barbados and Norris Herbert, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Trinidad and Tobago.
The Symposium will explore mechanisms to promote the diversification of exports given the urgent need to reduce the economic vulnerability faced by CARICOM countries.
