In keeping with February being marked as Reggae month and a period of celebrating “blackness” the University of the West Indies, Mona hosts the second Black Film Series. The Series begins with the a documentary titled, Ethiopia: From the Ancient Kushites to the Black Lion Featuring Ashra Kwesi and Merira Kwesi. The film is a documentary examining how Ancient Ethiopian Culture moved down the Nile River to Nubia and then to Egypt. The documentary will be shown on February 13, 2009 at 6 pm at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre.

The Series is organized by the Department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work and continues each Friday until February 27.

The public is invited. Admission is free.
